This Privacy Policy describes how SalesTech Edition (“we”, “our”, “us”), part of the GTM Publications network of business-to-business technology publications, collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit https://salestechedition.com (the “Site”) or interact with our content, forms, newsletters, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

1. Who we are
SalesTech Edition is a business-to-business technology publication operated by GTM Publications (gtmpublications.com). The Site at https://salestechedition.com is part of the GTM Publications network covering marketing technology, financial technology, sales technology, cybersecurity, and HR technology.
For the purposes of the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), GTM Publications is the data controller of any personal information collected through this Site.

Contact form. When you submit our “Contact” form, we collect your full name, work email, company (optional), the reason for your contact, a subject line, and your message.
Advertise form. When you submit our “Advertise with us” form, we collect your full name, work email, company name, job title (optional), phone (optional), placement interest, budget range, timeline, and message.
Newsletter signup. When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. We may also collect additional details you choose to provide such as job title or company.
Other inquiries. If you contact us by email or other means, we collect what you choose to send.
B. Information collected automatically
Server access logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Hostinger) records basic technical data when you visit, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referrer URL. We use this to operate and secure the Site.
Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and measure how it is used. See the “Cookies and tracking” section below.

4. How we share information
Service providers. Companies that process information on our behalf — including Hostinger (web hosting), Google (analytics, search console), Microsoft (heatmaps), Resend (transactional email), Hostinger Reach (newsletter), and Complianz (consent management). These providers are only allowed to use your information to perform services for us, not for their own purposes.
Compliance and legal. If required by law, legal process, or a valid government request, or to protect our rights, property, or users.
Aggregated data. We may share aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
We do not share, sell, rent, or lease your personal information for advertising or marketing by any third party.
5. Cookies and tracking
Essential operation. Cookies needed for the Site to work properly (login session, security, your consent choices). These do not require consent.
Analytics. Cookies set by Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to measure visits. These are only loaded after you provide consent in regions where consent is required.
Marketing. We do not currently set marketing or advertising cookies. If we add ad placements in the future this policy will be updated.

7. Data retention
Contact form submissions: stored locally for up to 200 most recent submissions per site, and as long as needed to respond.
Newsletter signups: retained while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period after unsubscribe.
Server logs: retained by our hosting provider per their standard policy.
Analytics: Google Analytics retains data per their default settings (up to 14 months) unless we configure shorter retention.
8. Children’s privacy
Our Services are intended for business professionals and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. International data transfers
GTM Publications and its service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. When personal information is transferred internationally, we rely on adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or other appropriate legal mechanisms to protect that data.
10. Security
We use reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect the information we collect, including SSL encryption for the Site, secure password management, and least-privilege access. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is one hundred percent secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
