For most of its history, Gong built its reputation on a single capability: recording sales calls and extracting intelligence from them. That positioning made the company a category leader in conversation intelligence and carried it past \ million in annual recurring revenue. On February 25, Gong announced Mission Andromeda, a product release that deliberately breaks the company out of the conversation intelligence box and into territory long held by enablement and account management platforms.
Three New Categories in One Release
Mission Andromeda introduces Gong Enable, a full AI-powered revenue enablement solution, alongside new capabilities for account management and secure AI interoperability. The release answers a question the market has been asking since Gong crossed the half-billion ARR mark: where does a conversation intelligence platform go after it has saturated its original category?
“Revenue teams have more insights than ever before, but applying those to drive outcomes remains a challenge,” said Eilon Reshef, Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder at Gong. “With Mission Andromeda, we’re extending revenue AI into more of the daily decisions teams make, from in-the-moment guidance to account management and coaching, so they can apply what works more broadly and at scale.”
AI Call Reviewer and AI Trainer: Coaching Without the Manager
The centerpiece of Gong Enable is a pair of AI tools that address one of the most persistent gaps in sales organizations: coaching capacity. According to Gartner research cited by Gong, 65 percent of chief sales officers report that enablement functions are stretched thin, and frontline managers spend just 9 percent of their time on coaching activities.
AI Call Reviewer analyzes completed customer calls and grades representatives based on the organization’s own sales methodology. Rather than generic feedback, the system evaluates performance against the specific behaviors the company has defined as leading indicators of success.
AI Trainer takes this further by allowing reps to rehearse high-stakes conversations against AI-generated simulations built from the company’s own winning call patterns. The simulations are not generic role-plays. They are constructed from the actual language, objections, and scenarios that appear in closed-won deals within that specific organization.
Initiative Tracking then connects coaching programs to revenue metrics, allowing leaders to measure whether new behaviors trained through the system actually appear in live deals and correlate with improved win rates, deal sizes, and ramp times.
Account Console and Gong Assistant
Beyond enablement, Mission Andromeda introduces unified account management through Account Console and Account Boards. These surfaces bring AI insights, risk signals, and recommended actions into a single view, helping identify renewal risk and expansion opportunities without requiring managers to navigate multiple dashboards.
Gong Assistant is a conversational AI experience that allows revenue teams to ask natural-language questions about customer calls directly within the platform. Future expansion will extend this to deals and accounts, effectively creating a queryable knowledge base built from every customer interaction the organization has recorded.
MCP Support Opens the Interoperability Door
Perhaps the most architecturally significant announcement is Gong’s addition of built-in client and server support for Model Context Protocol. MCP enables organizations to connect Gong with other AI systems while maintaining clear controls over data access, usage, and provenance.
This positions Gong’s conversation data as a resource that other AI agents, whether from Salesforce, Microsoft, or independent vendors, can query with permission. The strategic implication is significant: Gong becomes a data provider to the broader AI agent ecosystem rather than a walled garden that hoards its intelligence.
What This Means for the Revenue Stack
Mission Andromeda represents a direct competitive challenge to standalone enablement platforms like Highspot and Seismic, which announced their own merger in June 2026. It also puts pressure on account management tools that have operated as separate systems from the conversation layer. Gong’s thesis is that coaching, account planning, and conversation intelligence belong in a unified system because the data that informs all three is identical: what happens in customer conversations.
For revenue leaders, the question becomes whether a single vendor can execute across all three categories simultaneously, or whether the expansion dilutes the platform’s core strength. Morningstar, cited as an early customer of Gong Enable, reported improved consistency and deal execution, suggesting the thesis is already being validated in production.
