Apollo, the sales intelligence and go-to-market platform that says it serves more than 600,000 companies worldwide, has named Mark Sieglock its new Chief Product Officer. Sieglock will take over product strategy, design, research, and engineering from Bela Stepanova, who held the role through the 2025 launch of Apollo’s agentic GTM platform. Sieglock spent nearly a decade as an early product executive at eero, the mesh wifi maker, where he helped take the company from before it had a shipping product through its 2016 launch and its 2019 acquisition by Amazon, eventually reaching tens of millions of homes.
Why it matters to sales leaders: Apollo has spent the last several quarters layering AI assistants, automated outbound dialing, and CRM-synced deal tracking on top of its contact database, chasing a vision where prospecting, outreach, and pipeline management run through one connected system instead of a dozen point tools. Putting a consumer-hardware product veteran in charge of that roadmap, rather than someone with an enterprise-software background, is a bet that the harder problem left in agentic selling tools is not more data or more integrations. It is making an AI system simple enough that a rep trusts it without babysitting it, the same design problem eero solved for people who never wanted to think about their router again.
The original insight: CEO Matt Curl called Sieglock someone who has “built and scaled through category-defining shifts,” language that reads less like standard executive-hire praise and more like an admission that Apollo’s own platform shift is still unfinished. Vendors across the GTM stack are making the same consolidation bet, and Apollo’s own outbound tools already run inside Claude, which makes its expanding AI partner network part of the same story: the product bar for “agentic” sales software keeps resetting upward, and pedigree from outside B2B is now seen as an asset for clearing it, not a gap to explain away.
