Apollo.io brought its AI Assistant to general availability in March 2026, positioning the feature as the first fully agentic component within its GTM platform. The launch produced immediate adoption metrics: weekly active users increased 94 percent, and AI usage across the platform jumped from 35 percent to 75 percent of the user base.

The AI Assistant functions as a search and drafting co-pilot within the Apollo interface. Users can build prospect lists, draft outreach sequences, generate personalized subject lines, and research accounts through conversational prompts rather than navigating traditional menu-driven workflows. The system draws from Apollo’s 230-million-contact database and enrichment layer to inform its outputs.

The timing of the GA launch preceded Apollo’s acquisition of Pocus by days, suggesting the company accelerated its AI roadmap to establish the assistant as the primary user interface before integrating Pocus’s signal intelligence layer beneath it.

Apollo simultaneously announced availability inside ChatGPT, allowing users to run full outbound workflows from prospecting to sequence activation without leaving the OpenAI interface. The integration marks one of the first instances of a major sales intelligence platform embedding its execution layer directly within a third-party AI assistant rather than requiring users to visit a standalone application.

For revenue teams currently managing separate tools for data, intent, and sequencing, Apollo’s combined platform and AI-first interface presents a consolidation option. The 94 percent usage increase indicates that when the AI experience works, sellers prefer it to traditional navigation. The platform now serves more than 100,000 paying customers across 600,000 companies globally.
