Conversation intelligence is moving out of the coaching archive and into the live operating loop of revenue systems. Clari + Salesloft, the merged company behind the Salesloft engagement platform and Clari’s forecasting engine, launched Salesloft Conversation Intelligence on July 14, routing call data such as competitive mentions, sentiment shifts, objections, and forecast risk directly into pipeline management, forecast inspection, and the AI agents revenue teams are deploying, instead of leaving it in a transcript archive someone reviews later.
The company frames the problem in stark terms: 87 percent of businesses missed their revenue goals in 2025, and it argues the shortfall traces less to a shortage of buyer signals than to those signals sitting scattered across disconnected systems. The release adds AI Trends and Insights for pattern-level analysis across a team’s call library, mobile recording for in-person field meetings, automatic call scoring by performance tier, and a tool for querying across historical calls. “The advantage is not simply that we are applying AI to call data,” said Clari + Salesloft Chief Product Officer Kylie Fuentes. “It is that conversation intelligence is now embedded in the engagement activity, forecast inspection, and real deal outcomes that shape how revenue teams execute.”
For sales and RevOps leaders, the real story is the architecture choice, not the feature list. Conversation data has typically lived downstream of the CRM, reviewed after the fact rather than acted on in the moment. Wiring it into the same loop as pipeline and forecast inspection, as Clari + Salesloft does here and as it signaled with an open MCP server for revenue data earlier this month, turns call analysis into a live input for the AI agents now layered onto the revenue stack. Vendors that keep conversation intelligence siloed from execution will increasingly read as reporting tools, not systems a rep can act on in real time.
