Dealership CRM data is starting to do double duty: the same service history that once just scheduled an oil change is now flagging who is ready to trade in their car. DriveCentric, the AI engagement platform built for automotive dealerships, has launched a Service-to-Sales Agent that mines existing service and vehicle records inside its CRM to surface trade-in candidates automatically, without adding a new system or data feed.
What happened
Built natively into the DriveCentric Engagement Platform on the company’s Genius AI, the agent analyzes customer, vehicle, and service data already in the CRM to identify service customers with high trade-in potential, then initiates outreach, reads purchase intent, and hands qualified opportunities to the sales team. Every interaction lands on the same unified Customer Card the dealership already uses. Early access starts immediately, with general availability set for August 1, 2026, following DriveCentric’s earlier Performance Management Agent.
Why it matters
Service departments have long been a cost center that happens to generate loyalty, not a sales channel, largely because linking service records to sales intent required manual review. Building the agent natively into the CRM, rather than bolting on another tool, bets that dealers adopt AI faster when it works inside data they already trust. “We’re creating new sales opportunities from existing customer relationships while keeping our teams focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience,” said Dennis Gingrich, Sales & Finance Director at Niello Group, one of the dealership groups using the tool.
The original angle
The more telling signal is speed of iteration. Chief Product and Business Officer Michael Affronti said the agent was “designed and shipped in direct response to what our customers asked for” and brought to market “in weeks, not years,” a pace he credits to every agent sitting on one clean data foundation. For revenue leaders evaluating whether their own CRM migrations are AI-ready, a single clean data model looks like the real precondition for shipping AI agents in weeks instead of quarters.
