Infiterra, a London-based subscription commerce platform for IT distributors and managed service providers (MSPs), announced on Nov. 2 two channel updates: buying subscriptions from several distributors in one place for MSPs, and an AI-assisted vendor onboarding studio for distributors.

For MSPs, the company says it will let them buy from multiple distributors and manage and bill every subscription in one place. The Ingram Micro integration is already in place, and integrations with Pax8 and TD SYNNEX are in development. For distributors, the onboarding studio, also in development, will assess each new vendor and prepare its integration through Infiterra’s Ladder Integration Framework, with the distributor’s own team activating each vendor. It builds on a live Microsoft integration, with AWS and Google on the roadmap.

“MSPs should have a single purchasing experience across their preferred distributors, and distributors should be able to offer the vendors their partners ask for,” said Dr. Vassilis Zografos, CEO and Co-Founder of Infiterra. The company says it runs across 400+ marketplaces in 85 markets with 44k+ cloud sellers, and notes that roadmap items may change.

What it means for the sales leader

Zografos also said each connection builds one record of every subscription that the ERP, CRM and PSA can rely on. In our reading, that record matters most to the vendor’s channel team. When an MSP can buy the same product through several distributors, the vendor’s partner managers lose sight of which distributor and which partner drove a renewal unless that data flows back to them.

A channel chief at a vendor selling through MSPs should ask each distributor and platform what subscription and renewal data the vendor receives, and how often, before multi-distributor buying spreads.

Our earlier report on distributors opening channel data to AI agents covers Ingram Micro’s own move, and our opinion on giving channel partners the certifications your own sellers hold covers partner readiness.
