Sales Intelligence Becomes a Utility for AI Agents

ZoomInfo has made its sales intelligence database queryable from inside a general-purpose AI coding tool, without a developer writing a line of integration code. The company confirmed that ZoomInfo MCP, the Model Context Protocol connector delivered through its GTM.AI context layer, is now live inside Replit’s Integrations marketplace. A user connects it once from Replit’s settings panel, and any app built in that workspace can then pull verified company and contact data through the same natural-language prompts used to build the rest of the app.

Why it matters: this is the second time in three days a GTM data or scoring vendor has shipped an MCP connector rather than an API doc and a sign-up form, following Dynamiks putting its pipeline-scoring layer on MCP earlier this week, and it lands the same week this site tracked CRM vendors splitting into builders and renters of their own AI layers. ZoomInfo frames Replit as one more surface joining Slack, Salesforce Agentforce, HubSpot Breeze, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Claude, and ChatGPT, all reading from the same underlying GTM Context Graph of more than 100 million companies and 500 million contacts. Inside Replit specifically, a sales user can now chat with Replit Agent before a customer call to pull company size, headquarters, founding year, and recent product news, then generate call notes, all without leaving the coding tool.

The original insight: sales data providers are racing to become a queryable utility available inside every tool where an AI agent gets built, rather than a destination app a rep opens on its own. That shift quietly moves the competitive question away from “whose dashboard is better” toward “whose data layer shows up inside the most agent surfaces.” ZoomInfo’s own scoping is notable here too: the Replit connector is read-only for interactive research, and cannot bulk-export ZoomInfo’s dataset or write records back into a CRM, which keeps the same governance and audit logging in place across every surface rather than opening a side door around it.
