Salesforce spent Dreamforce week making the case that Agentforce runs enterprises now, not just chatbots. Trade press response the same week was skeptical, and this site’s own analysis found the presentations short on hard numbers. A new recap from Salesforce’s own newsroom fills part of that gap with two concrete customer figures rather than another framework.
Fulton Bank went from hearing about Agentforce to deploying its first agent in one hour, rolled it out to power users within a week, and had 3,000 employees using it six weeks later. The agent, a prebuilt outbound sales tool called Hunter, was set loose on a specific target: reengaging $340,000 of at-risk pipeline. Southwest Airlines took a slower path, starting with a customer-question assistant before expanding into more complex processes, and reports millions of dollars in productivity gains and seven times the return on its investment.
“Your customers will provide you their needs a lot faster in real time than all the planning sessions you could have had internally,” said Justin Bundick, VP of AI and Intelligence Platforms at Southwest Airlines. “You do that by analyzing the conversations that are happening between the customer and that AI product and then making tweaks and changes on a very rapid basis. It’s a brand-new operating model that those companies are going to have to adopt.”
The insight here is not that Salesforce found two happy customers. It is that the faster proof point, Fulton Bank’s one-hour setup, came from pointing an agent at a narrow, already-quantified pipeline problem, not a broad rollout. The numbers-gap critique of Dreamforce messaging published on this site earlier in the week argued that governance claims were outpacing proof. A dollar figure tied to a specific pipeline segment, even a vendor-selected one, is a narrower and more checkable claim than a governance framework, and it is worth tracking whether Salesforce keeps disclosing figures this specific as more customers reach the same six-week mark. The governance layer covered here after its Dreamforce debut is the control structure; this is the first real evidence of what running through it produces.
