Salesforce’s Summer 26 release, which began rolling out to production environments in mid-June 2026, delivers more than 60 new MCP tools and 30 preconfigured coding skills that give external coding agents complete, live access to the entire Salesforce platform. The release marks the most significant developer-facing update since the introduction of Agentforce.
Headless 360 is the architectural foundation. It decouples Salesforce’s data, workflows, and business logic from the browser-based UI, allowing AI coding agents in Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Windsurf to interact with Salesforce programmatically without navigating a visual interface. For revenue operations teams that manage complex Salesforce configurations, this means agents can modify flows, update objects, and deploy changes through conversational prompts rather than clicking through Setup screens.
The Data 360 MCP Server, available in developer preview since May, provides structured access to the full Data Cloud layer. Combined with the DevOps Center MCP, teams can describe deployment requests in natural language and let agents execute them, with the company claiming build cycle time reductions of up to 40 percent.
Agentforce Vibes 2.0 ships alongside the infrastructure updates, with the new Agentforce Builder becoming the default starting the week of July 13. Salesforce also open-sourced the Agent Script toolchain under Apache 2.0, including parser, linter, compiler, Language Server Protocol, and editor integrations.
The release reached sandbox environments through May and June, with production rollouts occurring June 5 through June 13. Organizations running on Salesforce should expect these capabilities in their instances now.
