Sales enablement platform Demodesk has cut the time its own reps spend on prospect research from two to three hours a day down to 10 to 15 minutes, a roughly 90 percent reduction, after replacing manual account lookups with ZoomInfo’s AI-driven GTM platform.
Demodesk’s sales development team was previously loading five new accounts and 25 new contacts into the CRM each day by hand, a process prone to outdated titles and bad numbers that wasted outreach attempts. The company now uses targeted list-building, buying signals that flag accounts actively researching relevant topics, and company news and event triggers to justify timely outreach, all feeding directly into Salesforce and its sales automation stack. Demodesk reports recovering more than a full working day per rep each week, with reps hitting the same daily account and contact quotas in a fraction of the previous time and holding better conversations because the enrichment data behind each account is current.
This matters for sales leaders because the labor Demodesk eliminated, manual research and CRM data entry, is the same non-selling work most enablement budgets are built to reduce without ever measuring how much of a rep’s day it actually consumes. A 90 percent cut in research time is a bigger productivity lever than most coaching or content initiatives can claim on their own.
The original insight: enablement vendors increasingly sell content and coaching as the fix for lost selling time, but Demodesk’s own numbers point to data hygiene and automated enrichment as the larger unlock, since reps cannot act on great content if they are still spending hours a day building the account list it applies to. That is consistent with CRM vendors now assigning AI agents to maintain the stack itself, and it extends the same pattern already documented elsewhere in how AI is eating the non-selling parts of a rep’s day.
