Microsoft’s Dynamics 365 Sales 2026 Wave 1 release, rolling out from April through September 2026, delivers embedded Copilot and autonomous agents across the full sales workflow. The release positions Dynamics 365 Sales as what Microsoft describes as “a system of action” rather than a traditional system of record.

Investment areas span five categories. AI-powered lead management uses Copilot agents that research leads across multiple sources, execute personalized outreach, judge lead readiness based on ideal customer fit and intent signals, and automatically disqualify low-intent leads to maintain a focused pipeline. Opportunity acceleration delivers Copilot summaries from RFPs, SharePoint documents, and product materials, with real-time chat for deal context.

Sales engagement and execution introduces configurable sequences that scale best practices across teams. Sales management gives leaders real-time forecasting, conversation monitoring, and coaching identification. Seller experiences consolidate customer data, deal progress, and collaboration into streamlined daily workflows.

The platform unifies data across Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Graph, meaning AI draws from CRM records, Outlook threads, Teams meetings, and SharePoint simultaneously. Agents work in the background to enrich data, prioritize deals, and strengthen pipeline without manual seller input.

The Wave 1 release reinforces the platform-wide shift toward agentic CRM, with Microsoft joining Salesforce and HubSpot in shipping autonomous sales AI at enterprise scale.
