AI-driven sales-roleplay platforms are entering a hiring phase built for scale, not survival, and Yoodli’s newest executive hire shows where that talent is coming from. Yoodli, the AI platform sales and revenue teams use to rehearse calls before they happen live, named Kartik Murthy vice president of product effective July 27. Murthy spent more than four years at Meta leading product for the Ray-Ban Stories wearable and most recently ran product for security, AI, and international expansion at the cyber insurance company Coalition, where his team automated more than 30 percent of servicing tasks and more than tripled international revenue.
The hire lands weeks after Yoodli closed a $40 million Series B led by WestBridge Capital and reported 900 percent year over year revenue growth past 1 million users, with enterprise customers including Google Cloud, Snowflake, Databricks, and RingCentral. For a sales enablement leader, the signal is less about one executive and more about where AI roleplay and coaching tools now sit in the budget. Conversation-focused AI is already moving from a training-room tool into the live call itself, the same shift underway as conversation intelligence platforms start guiding reps in real time instead of just recording them. A vendor hiring product leadership built for consumer-scale AI is telling enablement buyers it intends to be permanent infrastructure, not a seasonal add-on.
The specific hiring pattern is the real tell. Murthy’s background runs through Meta, Uber, Google, and Coalition, companies that solved trust, latency, and real-time interaction problems at consumer scale, not sales-training or learning-and-development incumbents. As roleplay and coaching vendors chase enterprise deployment, they are borrowing product leadership from adjacent AI-native categories rather than from inside the sales-enablement industry itself, a faster path to credibility with security and IT buyers than promoting from a training background.
