Zoho’s Bigin small-business CRM added automated Sequences, payment links across more than 10 gateways and customizable booking emails in its third-quarter update, published October 12.
What happened
Zoho’s quarterly Bigin post leads with Sequences, which builds a chain of response-based follow-ups. A new lead from an Instagram ad gets a welcome email. If the lead replies, the rep gets a task to respond within the hour. If the email goes unopened, a follow-up arrives the next day. Zoho says the same mechanism can run promotional campaigns, re-engage quiet contacts and send renewal reminders.
Payment Links now connect to more than 10 gateways, including Zoho Payments, Stripe, PayPal, Paytm and Verifone. Zoho says Bigin can generate and share a payment link the moment a deal closes, follow up on unpaid invoices and update the deal when payment arrives. Booking Pages gained customizable confirmation, cancellation, rescheduling and reminder emails, and can now be created from the Android app. Products can be bulk imported and linked to deals, and a Related Products view on contact and company records lists everything a customer has bought, with totals.
Why it matters
Most of this quarter’s list sits after the first meeting: collecting money and tracking what a customer owns. Zoho describes Bigin as “the easy, affordable, and powerful CRM,” and the list reads as an effort to keep a small team inside one record from lead to payment. We covered Zoho’s other recent move, AI sales reps getting their own email address, and our look at sales software adoption moving out of the training room covers the same push to make tools usable without training.
What it means for the sales leader
In our reading, the payment link tied to deal close is the feature to test first. It joins two systems that small teams usually reconcile by hand, and the deal record shows payment status. Zoho’s post gives no adoption figures or pricing for the new features, so check which plan tier includes Sequences before you plan around it.
