Conversation intelligence is expanding past the sales call and into the video meeting generally, wherever it happens. In2ition AI, a North Andover, Massachusetts-based sales intelligence vendor, has added Iris Listen, a video-meeting layer for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, and Webex, to its existing Iris “Always-On Intelligence” platform. The feature exits private beta on August 1 and comes as a free add-on for existing customers.

The move matters because it targets a specific gap in the coaching category: most conversation-intelligence tools were built to summarize what happened in a call, not to actively improve how a rep performs in the next one. “Notetakers were built to tell you what happened. They were never built to make you better,” said Joseph Lepordo, In2ition AI’s founder and CEO. Co-founder and CTO Chris Bulmer framed the design goal as continuity across every interaction: “Every meeting, every call, and every interaction teaches the same system, and that system teaches the team.”

The original insight here is less about the feature and more about where conversation intelligence is heading as a category. Coaching platforms have historically drawn a hard line between “sales calls,” which get recorded and scored, and internal or cross-functional video meetings, which do not. As sales cycles increasingly involve multi-threaded buying committees and internal deal-review meetings that never touch a phone line, vendors that only capture the call miss a growing share of the signal that actually predicts whether a deal closes. Extending always-on intelligence to every video meeting, not just outbound calls, is a bet that the coaching data worth capturing is spread across a rep’s whole calendar, not concentrated in the dialer. As conversation intelligence increasingly merges with lead qualification and other downstream revenue functions, tools that only listen to a fraction of a rep’s meetings will struggle to keep pace with those that listen to all of them.
